TERMS OF USE

Last updated:

01 May 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Flight Card, an iPadOS application developed by Paperplane D Pty Ltd (“Paperplane”, “we”, “us”). By downloading, installing, or using Flight Card, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The App

Flight Card is an electronic flight bag (EFB)-style tool designed to assist airline pilots with preflight planning, briefing, in-flight reference, and debrief workflows. It is provided as a productivity aid only.

2. Not a Certified Aviation Tool

Flight Card is not certified by any aviation authority. It is not an approved EFB, flight planning system, or navigation tool. It is not a substitute for official documents, charts, regulatory publications, operator-approved software, or your duties as Pilot in Command.

You are solely responsible for the safe and legal conduct of every flight. You must always rely on official, approved sources for operational decisions, including but not limited to:

  • Operational Flight Plans (OFPs) issued by your operator

  • Charts, NOTAMs, METARs, TAFs, and other meteorological data from official sources

  • Aircraft Flight Manuals, Quick Reference Handbooks, and operator manuals

  • Air Traffic Control instructions and clearances

  • Regulatory authority publications

Flight Card is intended for personal record-keeping and reference only. Any data displayed, calculated, imported, or exported by the app must be independently verified before being used for operational purposes.

3. Your Responsibilities

You agree that:

  • You are a qualified pilot or aviation professional using the app for legitimate purposes

  • You will independently verify all data before relying on it

  • You will not use the app as a sole source of operational information

  • You will keep your device, iCloud account, and Apple ID secure

  • You are responsible for all data you enter, import, or store in the app

4. Subscription and Pricing

Flight Card is free to download and use, with limits on the number of flight days, aircraft, and crew members in the free tier.

Flight Card Pro is available as an auto-renewable subscription:

  • Monthly: USD $9.99 per month

  • Annual: USD $109.99 per year

Pro unlocks unlimited flights, aircraft, and crew members; METAR/TAF auto-fetch; and LogTen Pro export.

PDF export, CSV export, iCloud sync, and manual NOTAM entry are available to all users.

  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period

  • Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period

  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings

Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store’s published refund policy. We do not process refunds directly. Visit https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204084 to request a refund.

Price Changes

We may change subscription prices. Changes will take effect at the start of your next billing period and will be communicated in advance through Apple’s standard notification process.

5. iCloud Sync

Flight Card uses Apple iCloud (CloudKit) to sync your data between your devices using the same Apple ID. iCloud sync is provided to all users at no additional cost.

  • Sync depends on Apple’s iCloud service and your device’s network connectivity

  • We cannot guarantee real-time sync or zero-latency replication

  • If iCloud is unavailable, your data remains accessible locally on each device

  • We do not have access to data stored in your private iCloud container

You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important flight data.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of Flight Card

  • Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the app

  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose, or in violation of any aviation regulation

  • Attempt to circumvent subscription limits, license enforcement, or in-app purchases

  • Resell, sublicense, rent, or commercially redistribute the app or any of its content

  • Use the app to harm, harass, or impersonate others

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent data designed to compromise the app’s integrity

7. Intellectual Property and Copyright

By using the app, you grant Paperplane a non-exclusive license to process and display this data within the app and to sync it via iCloud, solely for the purpose of providing the service.

We do not claim ownership of your flight data and will never use it for advertising, sale, or any purpose outside operating the app.

Third-Party Content

Flight Card may display data sourced from third parties, including weather data from aviationweather.gov and ICAO airport information. Such data remains the property of its original providers and is subject to their respective terms.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Flight Card is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • The app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times

  • Imported data (OFPs, METARs, TAFs, NOTAMs) will be accurate, complete, or current

  • Calculations performed by the app (fuel, time, weight) are free of error

  • The app is suitable for any specific operational use

You assume all risk associated with using Flight Card.

  • Damages arising from app errors, data inaccuracies, sync failures, or service interruptions

  • Damages arising from third-party services (Apple, iCloud, weather providers)

Total liability for any claim relating to Flight Card shall not exceed the amount you paid for your current subscription period, or USD $20, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Paperplane D Pty Ltd, its directors, employees, and affiliates from any claim, loss, damage, or expense (including legal fees) arising from:

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Flight Card at any time if you violate these Terms or use the app in a way that threatens its integrity or other users.

You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it from your device. Cancelling your subscription does not delete your data; data persists in iCloud until you delete it manually or remove it through Apple’s account management tools.

12. Updates and Changes

We may update Flight Card from time to time. Updates may add, change, or remove features. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the changes.

We may also revise these Terms. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via the App Store. Your continued use after revisions take effect constitutes acceptance.

If you reside in a jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws that override this clause, those laws will apply to the extent required.

Flight Card is distributed through the Apple App Store. The following apply:

  • These Terms are between you and Paperplane D Pty Ltd, not Apple

  • Apple is not responsible for the app, its content, or any claims relating to it

  • Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you
